Random Spinning Noise, Hard Drive Failiure?

Lately I've been getting these odd spinning noises randomly when I use my laptop, it seems to be coming from the right side of the keyboard, I don't really know if its at the top or bottom, it seems like its in the middle. I'm not sure if its a hard drive failure because when I ran a disk utility test. It failed so I took it to apple, they ran tests but found no errors. When I got it back it the test failed but I was able to repair it and now it shows okay. So anyways, I recorded the sound with my iPhone's Voice Memo and it is sounds exactly how it is recorded.

It's probably the hard drive or the fan could be acting up.

Well I had my fan replaced already once so I don't think thats the prob. I told apple to replace my hard drive three times but they never touched it once since it passed their stupid test which obviously doesn't measure sound or rattle so it seems that they won't replace it.

Try resetting the SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411

and try resetting the PRAM/NVRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379

Yep did that, but still same anoyying sound. I think I'll just go out and buy a new hard drive since apple store is too stubborn to try to fix the issue.

Yeah the apple guys are reluctant to agree to the HDD sound that comes up. Even i faced the same problem with these guys. Later on an argument they agreed to replace the HDD.

You might try calling Apple Customer Relations and complain to them. They will usually do what it takes to make you happy.

1-800-SOS-APPL (ask to be transferred to CR)

Thanx a lot but the cusotmer service at apple store is very poor. Anyway let me try this no. Is there any possiblity to find what serial no of the parts that came with my original macbook like RAM, HDD. Is there a way to fins this in anyway

Thanks for the support guys. I already complained many times and they even put the part order in the form and recieved it but they didn't even touch it since they said they ordered it "just in case" but they won't replace it unless its actually a hard drive failure, If they don't fix it Im gonna demand for a replacement since I've been without my laptop for nearly a month.

Kindly let us know once u install the new HDD .Closely hear of there are any rotational kind of noise from the HDD or only Huming kind of sound where the air is moved. Any new Macbook customer also comment
