Shared is missing from the Finder sidebar

Go into Hard Drive > user and locate Shared folder then just drag it over to the sidebar again.

Note that adds the folder "Shared" on your hard drive to the Side Bar. That is the folder where you share things between the Users (accounts created) on your computer.

If you were missing the Shared heading, which lists servers and computers shared over the network, go to Finder > Preferences... and make sure at least one of the items under "Shared" is checked (Back to My Mac, Connected Servers, Bonjour Computers). If none of those are selected, the Shared heading goes away.

I've got the same problem with the Shared tab missing, but all the settings in Finder's Shared preference are checked. Any ideas?

Try pulling the sidebar preference from your home folder (and maybe logout and login or restart).
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist

If my Sidebar is misbehaving, pulling its prefs helps me.
