How do you remove a shortcut from the iPhone home screen?

Help! I'm new to owning an iPhone. I just downloaded the Google Mobile App, started looking through one of my photo slideshows via Picassa, and clicked on the little ➕ symbol at the bottom of one of the photos. This offered me 3 options: "Add Bookmark", "Add to Home Screen", and "Mail Link to this Page." I chose "Add to Home Screen", and now a shortcut to that photo appears on my home screen (almost as if it's one of my apps). Is there a way to remove that shortcut? I tried deleting the google mobile app entirely, but that didn't do it.

Thanks in advance!
