corrupt voice memo file

hi. i recorded a voice memo the other day. the file is 45 minutes 39 seconds
unfortunately the file won't play or transfer
i did however managed to get the file onto my mac using the phoneview demo, but none of my applications will play it. its the correct size, 22.1MB

other recordings i've made are fine, but I REALLY NEED THIS ONE!

i'm sure if i had a pc with audition etc i'd be able to rescue it.. pff

if anyone has any ideas - APPLE??!

thanks

I finally was able to listen to it by using PhoneView. In Preferences, I chose the setting "Show Entire Disk" mode, and then a .mov file was visible (whereas that was not showing previously). After transferring the file to my Mac, I was able to play it via Quicktime Player.

[Unfortunately, the sound quality of the recording was distorted, perhaps because the concert was overamplified, but I was glad I could finally play it]

I used an alternative application called iPhonebrowser which works on Windows. I had a similar thing -- I can find the underlying file it is much smaller than it is supposed to be, and obviously the original recording didn't work somehow (even though it is listed in the database).

You can download the software here:

So basically don't trust it. I am reverting to using quick voice pro app (an application I downloaded for the iPhone)
