Help with migrating Aperture Master library

Am new here and apologize if this topic has already been beaten. I've searched but not found what I need.

Can anyone advise me on best way to migrate my library from within Aperture to referenced files?

I have about 30K RAW files directly managed by Aperture's library but located on a Raid0 external drive. It is extremely slow and I have been told by the "Geniouses" at the mac store to change the library to referenced.

But they could not help me do it.

If it matters, I have also purchased a new MBP so I can start with a fresh version of Aperture if need be.
