Keyboard layout per application

Hi all,

I am using 2 keyboard layouts, Serbian and English. As far as I remember Tiger used to remember keyboard on per app basis. For example when in Adium, I switch to Serbian, when in console I use English layout. Tiger used to change keyboard layout when switch app. Leopard uses system wide keyboard layout, so now, apart from app switch, I need to switch keyboard layout.

Is there any way to make it work as in Tiger, to remember keyboard layout per application ?

Thanks in advance...

That worked for me, but I am missing the option in Tiger that saves the kayboard layout even in different tabs or windows of one app. Like Skype, Firefox or others...

You might want to upgrade to Snow Leopard, which again has the Tiger settings. Whether it will do exactly what you want I don't know. Nobody is going to be updating Leopard to fix such things.

Great! Thanks! That will do! I hope it will do what I want: each app and each window should keep its own keyboard layout. That is it. 🙂

Another point, though, off topic, is if I install the Snow Leo on Leo (not the UPGRADE, but the FULL instalation) will that save all my settings?
