Submit your request and wait and see if they do it. Or buy a phone that has this feature if is critical to you. I only hope if they ever implement it includes a switch to turn it off.MacPro Dual Core 2.66 Ghz, MacBook Pro 15", iPhone 3G, Mac OS X (10.5.6), AEXs, Red 2G Nano, Red Shuffle, 160 GB Classic, White 60GB 5G, Apple TV

Previous phones that I've used included such a repeat alert which could not be turned off. I didn't like it much having to be forced to handle my phone to look at a missed call/voicemail to stop the repeat alert sound.
If Apple includes a repeat alert for voicemail with a future update, I sure hope there is an option to turn it on/off. PowerBook G4 17-inch/1.67GHz/2GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.7), 7200rpm-100GB HD, iPod w/Video 30GB, iPhone 3G 16GB

My 5 year previous cell phone had the feature, but would also give you the option to disable it if you just wanted 1 beep. That way if you step away from your cell or get busy, you at least had a repeat reminder to check your voicemail. This is CRITICAL in Emergency situations (medical) or time sensitive things that can come up, especially if you don't know about them in advance.
Can we have more discussion on this? Are we sure this simple feature does not exist for the iphone?? Is there an Application I can get that will help solve this problem? I am sure I am not the only one who could benefit from it.iphone 3gs

iPhone way back and this is my 3rd gen of iPhone.
Being your so worried, all I can think if is to either carry the iPhone with
you all the time or start checking it when you get back from whatever your doing.Dell E1705, Windows Vista
