Voltage issues? Charging it on iHome devices

I just bought a iHome22 and there is very little information on the box or the iHome web site. It is a nice device but want to know if it will wreck my iPhone by sending to much charging power (voltage) to the iPhone. The box says "made for iPod" but not the iPhone. It is working and charging but wanted to know if anyone has had bad experiences doing this on an iHome or know that this is a bad idea long-term. Thanks for your help!

If you don't purchase a dock (like the iHome) that specifically says that it supports the 3G iPhone, you can have any of the following issues:
1) The phone won't fit
2) The phone won't charge
3) The phone will make GSM signal noises (interference) while playing
4) The phone will want you to put it into airplane mode to work properly (which means your calls go to voice mail)

It will not wreck the iPhone, however.

On the other hand, I don't know what the iHome 22 is. It is not listed on their website.

Thank you for the advice. I just bought the IH22 from Bed Bath Beyond. It works with my iPhone, although in airplane mode and does appear to charge OK. It is a clock radio and don't want to have calls any way while I am sleeping - thus a perfect device to bed side charge. That said, happy it won't wreck the iPhone. I was worried about over charging or having a 10V output vs the needed 5V. The iHome web site and box doesn't have any tech specs.
