With the landscape feature in the new 3.0's stocks app, in addition to the normal line graph, there are small bars at the bottom of the screen. They don't seem to have anything to do with the stock's values, so what are they?
It looks like they are the same thing as the line graph only in bar form.

It could be volume, but it does not look like it to me as the lines correspond with the line graph, and volume does not really follow the same pattern as value.
That's what I thought at first, but, for example, looking at Apple's stock today, there are a couple of spikes in the bar graph (between one and two, and at the end of the day) that don't make any sense when compared to the actual values at those times.
