iPhone 3GS not compatible with Bose Sounddock Series II?

Just went to check my Series II - I have the white 3G S 16 GB. No problem there - played music right away.

An apple store employee told me Bose Series II is compatible with 3G S.

I did get a white screen on the second day - had to do a hard restart and software restore. Maybe it's a problem with the software they installed. You can restore the software from itunes and see if that helps - back up before.

I was also told by an Apple Tech make sure you treat it as a new iPhone don't use the back up when you restore the software in itunes.

My iPhone works in my Sounddock II, as well. Also, I can still receive calls while music is playing and I hear the other person through the speakers (if I enable speakerphone).

I just got the SoundDock Series II. My iPhone acts a little sporadic and my friends iPhone 3GS didn't work at all. No messages or white screens, but while trying to select songs on the iPhone 3GS, it would very sporadically bounce around to different songs and it was like I didn't even have to really touch the screen for it to shuffle around to some feature that I didn't want.

I have no issues when 3GS is docked with my series II...calls can be received music plays no glitches...

Maybe something on either the PIN connector on your Bose or the 30 PIN on iPhone is out of line...

I contacted Bose after my Sound dock would not work with my new 3GS. The Bose rep told me the pin setting was different and it probably wouldn't work but Bose was offering the latest Sound dock, with a 3 hour battery for 150.00 bucks, retails for 399.00 (I had to ship my original Sound dock back to Bose but they paid the shipping). I think that was worth it. I like to upgrade. Battery makes it real portable and its lighter and easier to carry.

Is your new system also able to be plugged in, or is it only battery? I think I too will call Bose for an upgrade if it also plugs in.
