selling my iphone 3g

I'm selling my iphone 3g. I restored it to factory settings.
What else should I do? Remove the sim card?

PC, Windows XP

Did you erase all content and settings?
Erase all content and settings: Connect iPhone to your computer or a power adapter.
Choose General > Reset and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”
This feature resets all settings to their defaults and removes all your information and
media on your iPhone by overwriting the data stored on iPhone.
Important: You can’t use iPhone while data is being overwritten. This can take up to
two hours or more, depending on the model and storage capacity of your iPhone.

Give craigslist a shot first. That's where I sold mine within about 30 minutes after it hit the 'net. I was looking for a quick reasonable sale and my price was $295 (which I got). You might get more through eBay, but then there are eBay commissions and Paypal commissions. However, there is a chance for a feeding frenzy on eBay although with the number of IP on sale there, I think it's doubtful.

I am trying to get a new Ihpone 3Gs. I bought my Iphone 3g in sept 08 and not eligible for upgrade yet.

Actually you might be. See [Upgrade|http://www.facebook.com/ATT?v=app_7146470109]

To be eligible for an early upgrade, you have to average $99 monthly for the last year. I qualified because my family plan added $10 month for my wife's non-IP. You can check to see if you qualify on att.com.

You can't really buy it for $99. For those that can start a new line of service or are eligble for an upgrade, it is $99 plus a minimum of $40/mo. * 24 months + activation/upgrade fees. People also buy them to use on other networks.

Also, some of the un-established younger generation doesn't qualify because of no credit/bad credit. I have a nephew who wanted one about 4 months ago. Because of a low credit rating, the only way he could get one was to come up with a $500 security deposit in addition to the monthly charge. I think some of these used IPs leave the country also. It wasn't that long ago where they were selling on eBay for $600-$800.

The guy that bought mine took his IP on a swimming date. He came over, paid for it, put HIS IP sim card in it and it immediately recognized it as HIS IP.
