which pci slot for uad2 dsp card in a nehalem 2.gg quad?

Hi all, can anyone please advise which pci slot is best to use when installing uad 2 solo dsp card? I am using logic pro 8. I have read uad forum with contrasting advice & reports of errors/red lights etc etc. I have no other cards installed & dont plan to add any more.

Hi xt63,

the Mac Pro has three empty PCI-E slots avaiable (apart from the one already taken by the graphics card).

The UAD card is a x1 card and should work in all of the three slots.

Personally I would put it in the slot that is farthest away from the graphics card to avoid any chance of interferences.
