PUSH NOTIFICATIONS CAUSE ALARM CLOCK TO NOT WORK?

i'm having a similar problem -- my alarms, which previously have worked flawlessly, have stopped working. realizing this, i opened alarm clock and saw that all 3 of them were all set to "off." i never did that, myself. but, ok.... so, i turned them all back on.

today, one was supposed to go off at 3pm -- but it didn't. just now (7pm), i opened the alarm clock and noticed that the 3pm alarm was set to "off," again! but i hadn't even opened the clock app since turning them all on, yesterday.

so, something, is causing them to turn off! your theory about push notifications is an interesting one. i'll see if this has any effect on my phone and report back.

either way, this is painful, because i've come to rely upon the iphone for these alarms, since it's always with me. i don't want to have to start wearing a watch that has an alarm, just because the iphone's alarms have stopped working. i hope this issue is identified and fixed pronto.

I purchased my 3Gs iPhone in June 2009 and the alarm clock notification worked perfectly, even when I setup a reminder alarm to go off. Then for some reason it stopped alarming and would only go off when I used the slide to unlock it...not good for an alarm clock. After reading the post about an AP app push notification effecting the alarm, I realized my alarm stopped working after I downloaded a CNBC app, which had a RT news alert push notification also. I went through Settings / Notifications and turned OFF the CNBC RT Alert, then I turned my iPhone off and turned it back on and now the alarm clock works perfectly again.

wow....how pathetic is it, that apple can't make a simple function like an alarm work....I've heard of issues where the alarm won't go off if someone gets a text or call....but mine randomly doesn't work without any of those situations. i didn't get a call, text, nor was an app open, and this morning my alarm didn't go off...

Seriously apple? This is why you will never beat PC's...this issue has been around since before the 3G

I'm having the same problem with a first generation iPhone, except that after I clear a push notification, the alarm clock will not work at all until I reboot the iPhone.

My alarm clock has also stopped working all of the time. It's getting annoying and I had to buy a real alarm clock for work now. I will continue to test.

I turned off the notifications for the AP app. It shows a notification about one thing then when you go in the app to read about it, its never there and its news about something else.

Same thing with calender reminders. Calender will remind me of my appointments when I press the sleep/wake button and activate the iPhone, regardless the time it is set to go off...
