v8.2 acting funny

So, iTunes 8.2 on 10.5.7 - used to was when you maximized from the mini player and then went back to the mini player, the mini player would resume it's original position on the desktop. Now it always pops to the middle forcing me to grab and drag it out of the way. WTH?

Also, used to was the mini player would stay behind open windows even when you clicked on play/pause/ffw/rev buttons, but now it pops on top of the windows even though iTunes is not the selected app. WTH again?

Anyone have any insight?
