Paste Excel spreadsheet into Notes

I just got my 3GS. I have a list written in Excel on my PC that I would like to have w/me on my iphone for reference. Have no need to update or edit the file on my phone. Is there a way to transfer that Excel file on to the Notes folder on my iphone?

I love not having to try to find them in piles of old email.

I worked around that issue by setting up a yahoo account on the phone, and I pretty much only use it to forward myself stuff to reference on the phone.

I don't believe so but there are Apps in the Apple Store (like Documents to Go) that let you store, create, read and write Word and Excel files right on the iPhone. I have no connection whatsoever to Documents to Go but hear that it works very well. Check it out.

There are plenty of free apps too (like AirSharing) that let you keep documents on your iPhone for viewing only purposes. My poor man's method of accomplishing this is just to make it an attachment to an email and then keep it in an exchange folder.

Thanks to all for your prompt and helpful responses. I checked on the 3 apps recommended in the iTunes store, all 3 have PC versions, but there were several comments regarding problems w/the new OS 3.0. I'm new to cell phones and the iphone and I was just trying to trick it out as best I can b/c it's new to me and exciting to see what I can do w/it. I think I will wait a couple more weeks to let the app/OS conflicts get cleaned up and then I will pick up one of them; they all sound perfect for my needs.

I use FileMagnet on my Mac and my iPhone -- I love it -- I don't know if there is a PC equivalent, but there are programs like that available for both Mac and PC...

I'll put a ditto in for AirSharing. It works great! I use it to carry documents that I want to have around long-term. I love not having to try to find them in piles of old email.

I'm using AirSharing under OS 3.0 with no problem. There's no need to use a client on the PC to sync with, so it does have some advantages. The setup was really very easy.
