How to switch between visible and invisible

I am sure there is option to make yourself invisible. I think I selected it on one of my iChat accounts. But I cannot now find it again. Sorry if there is a really obvious answer to this which I am missing. But how do I make an account invisible (ie online but not seen by others) and how do I make it visible again?

If you are using iChat 4, click on the Available text or your status message in your buddy list and choose Invisible. Change it back to turn it off.

is there a way to be invisible to specific contacts or do you have to be invisible to all contacts?

To All AIM related Buddies (Apple IDs and AIM Screen Names)

It does not work with the Bonjour Buddy List or any Jabber one (Jabber or GoogleTalk)

If you have the Menu Bar Icon set in iChat menu > Preferences > General Section you can also set it there.
