Call from Egypt - phone blanked out

I've gotten calls from that exact same phone number. Have you had your carpets or floors redone lately? Cause that number is Empire Carpets calling to do a survey on how their service was. I get a call from them every single day now! I've answered twice and tell them not to call because I'm scared I may get an expensive phone bill since the calls are from Egypt!! Not sure if that's really the case, but at least now you know who's calling and that the phone number has nothing to do with your phone going to black. Your phone is fine. 🙂 But Empire's customer service callers are annoying!

Not sure what happened after you answered the call, but nothing malicious can happen to your iPhone or with any cell phone when answering a call regardless where the call originates.

No. Since the phone was off when you answered, it simply went back to the off state when the call disconnected.
