iPod Touch Issues

As the title states, I am having issues with my iPod Touch. I hate to put the blame on the 3.0 update, but I think that my be the issue.

Since updating, when I turn my iPod on it goes to a lock screen rather than the home screen.

The WiFi also doesn't stay connected. It will be connected and then it won't, then it picks it up again.

So, what can I do to fix this?

sorry man but the only thing i can tell you is it is a firmware bug(s) and i would suggest downgrading to 2.2.1 until apple gets all the bugs worked out. its better than having a broken iPod. theres hundreds of posts on the internet on how to do it... just google it.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, 3.0.1 would probably help, but I can wait. I would like it if the screen went to the home screen, but I won't lose sleep over it.
