Text Messages on Old Sim Card

Hello,
I hope this question hasn't been asked and answered, but just to assure all, I have not been able to find this using the search.

I have just purchased the iPhone and was originally using the FuseHTC. I stored several text messages on that sim card but after installing into the iphone, I am unable to see them.
Any ideas?

It doesn't pull off text messages from the SIM card, the only thing it will do is pull down the contacts from the SIM card if you tell it to Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Import SIM Contacts. If you really wanted those text messages, send them to someone else and have them send them back to your phone. Other than that, I don't personally know of a way to import them onto your iPhone from the SIM Card.

I don't think they will, but I can't give you a 100% answer on that. If I were you, I would put the SIM in another phone and send them to your email or do something to save them just in case.

The iPhone does not read information stored on the SIM. You would need to someone move them from the SIM on the HTC to your computer.

The iPhone does not support importing text messages or viewing text messages that were stored on a SIM card used with another phone, and the iPhone does not support storing any data on the SIM card.

Ok, but the messages will stay on the SIM, correct, and not automatically erase for some reason unknown to me by an iPhone feature?
