When I try to download a song, album, app or app update after I enter my password on my 3GS, I get a message that the phone "Cannot connect to iTunes."

Oddly, when I then download he song or app on my PC from iTunes, and synch to my phone, I AM able to download songs/apps on the phone, but only immediately after. If time passes and I try again, I'm back to "cannot connect."

This has been happening since I got my 3GS.

Anyone else have the same issue, or, more importantly, a solution?

    I have been having the same problem. When I try to download an app or song from itunes. After I sync it works for right after then have problems until I have to sync again to my computer. I hope there is a solution to this cause i like to download songs and app when i am not a home and can't seem to do that now with my new 3GS phone. My sister has a 3G and we both tried to download something at the same time and I could not connect while hers connected and downloaded perfectly. Help please.

    I got an answer from Apple Tech Support today. It is a known problem,
    and the current fix is to change your iTunes login to use an Apple ID
    rather than an AOL ID. Only people with AOL sign ins have reported the problem.

    I don't have aol and just use my apple id. It still will not work for me.
