Facebook chat, names disappear when the person logs in or out.

Question

Facebook chat, names disappear when the person logs in or out.

When I am on facebook, and I have facebook chat opened, and one of my friends logs in, their name will disapear, and i will have to open and close my friend list in order for the name to reappear. This problem does not occur in firefox (3.5).
Is there a way to fix this?
Or will i just have to wait until the next update?
And is anyone else having this problem?

13in MAcBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7), 4gb RAM

I get the same problem in Google Chrome on WinXP, but not with Firefox on WinXP, I can't remember if I get the problem on my macbook, I don't have it with me right now.

Seems to be an issue here with Facebook itself and it's incompatabilities in some issues with Safari. I had a few problems with Facebook and Safari 3 as well. Not big issues but enough to be annoying, although chat works fine for me. Try contacting Facebook Feedback and complain about the issues you are having through Safari and Facebook. Not much help I know, but Facebook seems to think everyone runs IE and really should get up to date.
