Restoring Factory Settings

I have had to restore my iphone back to factory setting for the 5th time in less than 6 months. I just wanted to know if anyone else was having the same problems? My screen is constantly freezing also. This is getting a little crazy!

Dell laptop, iPhone OS 3.0

I've had an iPhone since they were first launched (original, then 3G and now a 3G S) and have never had to restore to factory settings other than when replacing or upgrading the handset to remove data etc on the handset to be replaced.

Are you restoring from the handset itself or through iTunes?

Try restoring through iTunes, if you haven't already, and see if this helps, if you have, and it hasn't improved the situation, contact Apple technical support
