I have to wait 48hours for activation to complete...Today!

Its Friday June 26th. One full week from the launch of iPhone 3GS and the activation delay is still here! I am quite surprised. Not very angry but whats going on ATT?

I got a week 26 iPhone 3GS. No problem with a yellow screen yet.

How long have you actually been trying to activate? The 48 hrs is likely a message to reduce the number of calls they get. The actual time is probably much shorter.

I was at an Apple store Wed and there was still a line of customers waiting to upgrade. Likely some assumed lines would be shorter and it would be quicker this week. Maybe not.

I tried to activate my phone last night at 10pm and got the same message. 12 hours later my phone is still not activated. I got an email this morning that said:


"Dear Apple Customer,

We appreciate your recent iPhone purchase at the Apple Store.
We are eager to activate your iPhone, however we have identified a problem with the information you provided during activation.

To complete your activation, please call us at 1-877-284-6834 and reference your Activation ID: ______

We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your business.
Thank you for shopping at the Apple Store!

Sincerely,
The Apple Store Team"


I called them an hour ago and am still on hold. ***? What is the hold up? Do I have to change the SIM cards out or something?

I have to wait 48hours for activation to complete...Today!
