Iphone sync error 13001...URGENT

So I updated my iphone from 2.2 to 3.0 yesterday and then restored all my contacts + other stuff all was good. Then i tried to resync my music...It started as normal showing ex: 15 of 167 songs or whatever but at the end it said "XXXX Iphone" could not be synced error (13001) (something similar). When i went to check my ipod on the iphone it said "No Content" but when i checked the music section under iphone in itunes it showed the music there.
I restored the iphone again and it still didn't work.
Please advise on how to solve. I am using iphone 3G.
URGENT.

nope tried it. Created new user. Open itunes from start menu. authorized my account. it backed up my iphone. at the end of syncing i got error 13001.

Also i am having trouble downgrading to 2.2? I can't seem to put my iphone in the so called DFU mode which I think "bypasses" the firmware in order to downgrade. I keep getting recovery mode. I've tried it many times many different ways from forum guides-none of which seems to work. Anyways ill keep trying if any of you know of a way to downgrade the Iphone 3g 3.0 to 2.2 post it here. don't give me another guide on "how to get into DFU mode" it's just not working on my iphone. i am not an idiot.
i am calling Apple tonight to see if they can fix my problem (very doubtful) and meanwhile keep searching the web.

im having the same problem except on my ipod touch. i have never had a problem on fixing my ipod when it goes crazy and this one has me stumped. ive restored, reinstalled itunes (making sure to delete it from recycle bin before reinstalling), i dont know where to find the 2.2 software in my comp though. i cant find the folder anywhere. if you get a solution, please post it here. as bad as the problem is, im glad its not just happening to me.

so here is the thing. i did a full system restore on the ipod and i didnt load the backup. i just set it up as a new ipod. it then synced my music with no problems. after syncing my music i saw no error message. then i plugged it back in and tried to sync my podcasts and i got the same error again, but my music is still there. all i can say is, at least i now have my music, but i still have error 13001

I'm having the same problem, been on OS 3.0 since the release date and been syncing fine until yesterday after making no changes to my iphone. I've tried syncing on 2 different computers, pc and mac, with the same problem..."Iphone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13001)"
I've wiped the iphone 2 times once from backup and once new without backup info, and still get the error whenever I try to syn music or video files.
The files copy and use up space on the iphone, but they do not register, says "no content" Same results on 2 pc's. disabling antivirus didn't work either. I can sync without any errors if I don't try to sync music or video.
Any solutions yet?

well I found a temporary fix, no thanks to the Apple CS rep that had no clue and told me to take my iphone to the store, and the Apple store who wanted me to fill out an online reservation and come back in 2 days.

Disabling my antivirus software alone didn't help, but disabling all of my "startup" items allowed me to finally sync without an error, and I'm assuming this will also work if you boot your pc into "safe mode"

Here's what I did...
Go to the start menu and click run
type "msconfig" and ok
In the General tab choose selective startup and uncheck the box "Load Startup Items"
Reboot and try to resync.
to put the computer back after sync go back in and select "normal startup" and reboot.

For now I will be doing this each time I want to sync until I am able to find out what item(s) are causing the error. Could still be the antivirus, most people are having problems with Norton, I'm using Mcafee.

Hope this helps.
