Iphone sync error 13001...URGENT

I found that problem syncing some movies.

If I disable sync with movies it syncs everything else fine, at least for me.

To date, there is no solution for this problem, or I haven't found anything yet. (I've tried to restore my device, to rebuild my library from ground up (gosh!), in all the combinations, to no avail)

I updated my iphone 3g to 3.0 and I'm having the same exact problem. None of my songs, videos, podcasts show up in the iphone even though itunes says that they're all there. Does anyone have a solution?

My only partial solution is to select the check "Manually manage music and videos" and manually move what videos or music do you want in you device.

This works for me, but sync should work too :-S

Three days till now i cannot update my iphone 3g to 3.0 an error occurred. I read some discussion here and noticed that updating 3.0 is not good. should i continue updating? how can apple not resolve this immediately! I need to update my phone with no problem.

How do u go back to 2.2? I'm having the same deal and it's really ******* me off. How do u reset to the previous version?

i got the solution....create another admin user...select itunes from der..it wil not give the error...otherwise if u dnt wnt 2 switch users, u wil hav 2 reinstall itunes...keep backup b4 doing dat....hope it works 4 u...

im having the same problem except on my ipod touch. i have never had a problem on fixing my ipod when it goes crazy and this one has me stumped. ive restored, reinstalled itunes (making sure to delete it from recycle bin before reinstalling), i dont know where to find the 2.2 software in my comp though. i cant find the folder anywhere. if you get a solution, please post it here. as bad as the problem is, im glad its not just happening to me.

so here is the thing. i did a full system restore on the ipod and i didnt load the backup. i just set it up as a new ipod. it then synced my music with no problems. after syncing my music i saw no error message. then i plugged it back in and tried to sync my podcasts and i got the same error again, but my music is still there. all i can say is, at least i now have my music, but i still have error 13001

i got the solution..if you have an antivirus running , just disable it and try syncing the iphone..it worked for me..try it..|-KONVIKT-|

It didn't work for me 😟 I am running Norton Antivirus. I disabled from computer management > application and services. Am I doing something wrong here, can someone help. Thanks

I'm having the same problem, been on OS 3.0 since the release date and been syncing fine until yesterday after making no changes to my iphone. I've tried syncing on 2 different computers, pc and mac, with the same problem..."Iphone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13001)"
I've wiped the iphone 2 times once from backup and once new without backup info, and still get the error whenever I try to syn music or video files.
The files copy and use up space on the iphone, but they do not register, says "no content" Same results on 2 pc's. disabling antivirus didn't work either. I can sync without any errors if I don't try to sync music or video.
Any solutions yet?

well I found a temporary fix, no thanks to the Apple CS rep that had no clue and told me to take my iphone to the store, and the Apple store who wanted me to fill out an online reservation and come back in 2 days.

Disabling my antivirus software alone didn't help, but disabling all of my "startup" items allowed me to finally sync without an error, and I'm assuming this will also work if you boot your pc into "safe mode"

Here's what I did...
Go to the start menu and click run
type "msconfig" and ok
In the General tab choose selective startup and uncheck the box "Load Startup Items"
Reboot and try to resync.
to put the computer back after sync go back in and select "normal startup" and reboot.

For now I will be doing this each time I want to sync until I am able to find out what item(s) are causing the error. Could still be the antivirus, most people are having problems with Norton, I'm using Mcafee.
