iPhone keeps dropping network settings

Since updating to 3.0 I keep getting a message pop up on screen saying that 'Network connection lost' and 'Network settings lost', then for about 5 minutes I can't use my phone for anything that requires network access.
Has anyone else been getting this message? Any fixes? Only been happening since the update.

iPhone 3G, iPhone OS 3.0

Same problem but it started just before the 3.0 update. On some occasions I have to dismiss the pop-up several times before getting back to the screen I want. Very irritating - any way to switch this off?

Put off 'push' and use 'fetch' for email, etc. Worked for me.
