Textedit - paragraph symbol

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I want to do a search and replace using textedit, and when I replace I want to include a line break. Is there a symbol for this? In Word it's ^p, but I can't find what it is in textedit.

Copy a carriage return and paste it into the Replace field instead of using a symbol.
