Is there a way to create a watermark using FCE4?

    Import your image.
    Resize and reduce the image and the opacity to suit your tastes.
    Place the image where you like.
    Remove the color if you like.
    Add the watermark to the video track above the footage in the Timeline.
    Set the duration as required.

    Note: Image + wireframe needs to be on for dragging and re-sizing tracks.

    Hi(Bonjour)!

    Create a text clip in viewer. Put it on V2 (or on the topmost track) in the timeline. Set opacity between 50 to 70% and select the hard light composite mode.

    You can design your watermark in a transparent photoshop document. You can use a style layer like bevel to add some depth to your design. Save as PNG.

    Use it as suggested by Alchroma.
