Can not reply to Craigslist ad?

I am new to the iphone and have the 32gb 3Gs.
Overall, it is a nice little device.
I am having a problem though that I can not seem to figure out.

I like to go to the "For Sale" section of Craigslist.
I like to check out the tools area.
Anyways....when I try to post a reply to an ad on Craigslist, the reply
will fail to send and I will get a message window pop up..

Cannot Send Mail
The server rejected one of the recipients addresses.
The message has been placed in your Outbox.

This happens regardless if I am on 3G or Wifi.
I have looked around and if it is happening to everybody, they do not
seem to be talking about it.
I suspect that it may have something to do with the way that the Craigslist
structures its email so as to go through their server before going to the person
who posted the ad. I have no idea how to correct this however.

Can anybody tell me how to correct this?

I did download Craigsphone.
It had the same problem and I got the same error message when replying to a post as when I go to the Website on Safari.

I just sent them an email.
I sorta doubt that it is them however.
I do not have trouble responding to an ad on anything BUT the iphone.

Can I take it from these repsonses that others do not have a problem responding to a Craigslist ad?

Also..if others found an app that works for them on this..what app was it?

I was getting teh same message it ws because my out going SMTP server settings had not been configured.

Go to settings/mail/choose the account your are using
go down to outgoing mail server touch the box
then touch box for primary server and put in your user name and password (not all outgoing servers require this but mione does - hence teh error message)

while you are there you should switch on the "AT&T SMTP Server" which can be used as a back up if your mail server cannot be contacted.

Peeble,
You nailed it.
I started looking at the configs for the outgoing mail.
I had responded to mail before so it did not occur to me that this could be a problem.
The configs were off just enough to prevent the outgoing stuff though.
I corrected and now it works.
