in-band-ringing with stereo bluetooth headset

Does anyone know how to turn off in-band-ringing when using a stereo bluetooth headset?? I have bluetooth enabled hearing aids and it is sending all keyboard sounds, email and text notifications, etc. through bluetooth. I do not want to turn the notifications off, I want them to come through the speaker and use the bluetooth for music and phone. On other phones this is accomplished by turning off in-band-ringing. Any suggestions??
