All of a sudden my podcasts play too fast, so that they all have an Alvin & the Chipmunks effect. Any suggestions on getting them back to normal? Music does NOT have this problem.
since the new 3.0 update, when you tap the screen while playing podcasts, on the right hand side (where the shuffle option used to be) is a speed button, tapping it will cycle through different speeds. have you pressed yours by mistake?
Thanks, Anna. I have been listening to the ITV Tour de France podcasts and the two British podcasters usually talk a bit fast but this was way too fast. It is nice to be able to understand them again.
lol, think des answered your question robert!
personally i'd think more people would want to use the shuffle feature than the speed feature (which was available previously under settings anyway), but hey, what do i know?
ok.. maybe not "need" the sped feature, but for some podcasts I find it useful. Maybe it's the ones I listen to, or my short attention span (ref my previous update). I find some spoken word podcasters to speak just too slowly... and speeding 'em up makes it more interesting.
getting use to the faster audio takes a little time (and for me only works on some podcasts), but it's a useful timesaver.
