I recently downloaded the Remote app, but I cannot get my Iphone to appear in the devices list unless it is plugged in via USB. I not very good with computers but I can follow direction very well. can some on please help me with a Step by Step to get my iPhone to connect to my computer via WiFi? The iPhone is connected to my WiFi router as well as my PC, but for some reason they will not communicate with eachother. PLEASE HELP! thanks!

The iPhone must be connected to the PC via the USB cable to set up the remote application. Here are the instructions...

To get the Remote application on the iPhone to "connect" to iTunes, first sync the iPhone to the PC and start iTunes. Once the iPhone has completed syncing start the Remote App on the iPhone. On the main screen that comes up press the button "Choose a Library ...". On the next screen push the "Add Library" menu and you will see a black screen with 4 digits. Now, look back at iTunes and in a couple seconds you'll see a new "device" on the side panel under your iPhone in the listing with the same name as your iPhone but it's icon is the Remote App icon. Select that "device" and a screen comes up in iTunes where you enter the 4 digits you see on your iPhone. Once you enter the digits, the passcode is verified and the Remote is now synced to iTunes. When you play music in iTunes now you'll see the corresponding cover flow art on the iPhone and you can control music play, fast forward, skip, volume etc. from the iPhone. Check it out... it's a blast!
