Authorizing Audible over and over again

I got a new iMac last week, and Migration Assistant seemed to work great to get me up and running from a Time Machine backup from my old iMac. I only have one issue - every time I sync my iPod, I get a message that not all my Audible files were copied to my iPod because they aren't authorized to be played on this computer. I'll deauthorize my Audible account in iTunes (Advanced, Deauthorize Audible Account), then reauthorize when prompted to when I attempt to play an audiobook. The audio book will then sync to my Touch. Then I'll have to repeat the entire process the next time I sync.

I saw a tip to deauthorize, then restart, then authorize - that didn't help. I also saw one to follow the process while logged in to an administrator account. I did deauthorize as an administrator, but don't have any Audible content in the admin's library, so I reauthorized as my usual user account.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Faye

I ran into the same problem, the audible rep (very helpful when you call the 800#) had do these steps:

1. Check permissions on /Library/Preferences
a. right click or control-click then /Library/Preferences file
b. select "Get Info"
c. click the triangle in front of "Sharing & Permissions:" on the window that pops up
d. Make sure it says "You can read and write"
e. if it doesn't say that - check if your account is listed as an "Administrator"

2. Close iTunes

3. assuming all of the above is fine - delete the following file: /Library/Preferences/com.audible.data.plist

4. Open iTunes

5. Play an audible book (it will ask you to sign in)

6. Close iTunes

7. Open iTunes

8. Play an audible book - It should NOT ask you to sign in
