The Apple support document on the subject, HT1414 (Backing Up, updating, and restoring your iPhone and iPod touch software) is not clear on whether all my apps can be [easily] restored, or just what the process is to restore them. From the way it's written, I might have to reinstall them one by one—I have to assume I wouldn't be charged twice for paid apps. I think I read it carefully, but am surprised Apple would have left this out.

Reason I might restore: my camera app's shutter is shut closed.
