Still Frozen after reset.

My phone is still frozen even after trying the reset. During the reset (holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10 seconds) I never see the red power off slider but do get the apple logo after that the screen just shows the apple logo for a few seconds then goes black. Any ideas on the next steps?

If it never boots and just keeps turning on and off with only the Apple logo, you'll want to put your iPhone into Recovery Mode so you can do a restore. In order to do this, first connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Then turn off the iPhone by holding both the sleep and home button. Once the screen goes black, wait a few seconds, then press the sleep button and when the screen comes on let go of the sleep button and hold down the home button. Your iPhone should go into Recovery Mode and you should be able to do a reinstall of the firmware on your iPhone with iTunes.

Just so you know, you will lose any data on your iPhone that hasn't been synced or backed up.

Hi,

Is this a common issue now with 3.0? I read couple of posts on it, and it happened to me twice.

The first time, my iphone froze, so i resetted it by holding both home and power button. It never booted up after, just kept at the screen with apple logo. Tried resetting again, same thing.

Eventually recovered using the DFU restore method. Now after a complete restore, it happened to me again. This time i shut it down properly, and it never went pass apple logo in rebooting. I resetted, and this time it came out of it.

Seems wierd that happened twice in same day.
