PC to Mac mod?

I have already purchased Age of Empires 3 for PC before the mac version was released. Is there a mod or some way to play this version on my mac without buying the game all over again?

Macbook Pro 13.3", Mac OS X (10.5.7)

You might have some success running it using [WINE|http://www.winehq.org>. WINE, and the Mac-specific [Darwine|http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX] (which is nicely packaged, but several WINE releases back), is an open-source freeware tool that permits you to run many Windows applications natively on Mac OS X and Linux. There's also a nicely packaged commercial version of WINE by CodeWeavers called [CrossOver Mac|http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac>.

It appears that people are having some [success running Age of Empires 3 with WINE|http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=2441].

Of course, you could also run it in a Windows VM on your Mac using Parallels or VMWare Fusion. WINE is superior in the respect that it doesn't emulate a whole machine, but rather provides libraries that provide a certain level of compatibility (not perfect). The VMs are superior in that they actually run Windows (provided that you install it), and, while the performance isn't as good and memory usage is greater, you can rest assured that just about anything will run in them.
