iMac not sleeping

Hi

I have an Intel iMac (White) 17", that won't go to sleep on its Energy Saver time settings. I have the display and computer set to sleep after 15 minutes and put the hard drives to sleep. This does not happen. The display goes black and the power light stays on continuously and does not pulse.

If i set the computer to sleep manually by going to  -> Sleep, then it sleeps fine (power light pulses).

I've reset the PRAM and this doesn't make any difference. The only things plugged in are a keyboard (aluminium) and wired mighty mouse plugged into the keyboard, with a USB hub plugged into the actual machine.

If i take the hub out, it doesn't make any difference.

Do you have any ideas on what is causing this? I have applecare and am considering taking it to the store, if its a logic board issue...

Thanks

Joe
