Graphic organizer templates?

Hi -

I am in education and am wondering if Pages (iWork09, specifically) has any templates for graphic organizers like Microsoft Word does (07, at least). I realize that I can use shapes, but sometime it takes a lot of time to re-size according to text and move the shapes around.

Ideally, I would like a few basic graphic organizer templates that could be expanded or modified. This works in Word - and no, I can't import them from Word to Pages.

Any ideas?

Could you give us a better description or example (links) of what you mean by "graphic organizers"?

Depending on what they look like there probably are different ways to achieve them.

If you are talking about *Word's SmartArt*, Pages does not have an equivalent and you would need to look to:

One place to look for examples of what I mean is http://my.hrw.com/nsmedia/intgos/html/igo.htm. Except that I would want to alter them myself in terms of the graphics, not just the text. Word's Smart Art does this to some extent, but to an extent I am happy with.

I looked at the link you provided, which sounds promising. Anything out there for less than $200? Or any ideas on how to get Pages to make these organizers easily? Import them somehow...

Omnigraffle is much more than just a graphics charter, so you will get additional usefulness and it is a full blown vector drawing program. It has for example "stencils" which are sets of clip art or bits of design. All of these can be cut and pasted into iWork.
