3GS Smudge Proof Screen

I'm curious to know what you guys think of the smudge proof screen.

Does it work as advertised?

Will you still use a screen protector (this would seem to defeat the purpose)?

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

The two posts above describe my feelings, but I also wanted to add that the screen also feels a lot better. Gliding my finger feels a lot better on the screen that it did on the older iPhones. I have heard that the Oleophobic screen might not be as resistant to scratches, but I've only heard it. Just be careful what kind of screen protectors you use, because they could possibly damage the Oleophobic screen.

This was my thinking. On the one hand, fewer smudges would be most welcome. On the other, does this make the screen more vulnerable to scratches? And third, will a screen protector damage the Oleophobic screen? No easy answers....right now anyway.

Would love for others to comment.

I know that you should NOT use any screen protectors that uses an adhesive, I believe they sell some screen protectors at Apple and AT&T that use static to adhere and stay on the screen. I don't have a screen protector on my iPhone, but I do have a soft gel case on the back. I just love the natural feel of the iPhone, and to be honest I don't even like the case on the iPhone, so I'm just very careful with my iPhone. ZAGG has released a screen protector that it states is safe to use with the iPhone 3GS, and they are a very very good company. Their products are great and they even sell a thin film to cover the back of the iPhone as well.
