Macbook Air CD drive

I put an empty DVD inside the CD drive, and it doesn't show up on my desktop that it's there. How can I take it out now, since there isn't a way i can eject it?
please help??

Macbook Air, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Is this the thin little aluminum MBA Superdrive you are talking about?

what happens when you press the eject key on the keyboard? Does anything display on the screen?

Go into Applications/Utilities/Disc Utility and does it show that there is a blank disc inside the drive?
