Using Sony Ericsson P910 as Bluetooth Modem on Leopard

A previous question for this was archived so I can't rely the solution.

If you have a Sony Ericsson P910 and want to use it as a bluetooth modem with Leopard here are the steps. (this is for T-Mobile US)

In the ADVANCED settings for the Network Bluetooth device:

Vendor: Sony Ericsson
Model: GPRS (GSM/3G)
APN: internet2.voicestream.com
CID: 5

Do not modify any other settings. Leave them all at default.

Many Models, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

I'm using the default setup that come with Leopard.

I only set the Vendor, Model, and CID. Everything else is left at the default settings Leopard ships with.

The best thing to use is a modem script you can get from

http://www.taniwha.org.uk/

look through the list of available modem scripts for your model of phone and download it.

Then follow the readme that comes with the modem script.

I have been using Ross Barkmans modem scripts for years and they always work.
