I would like to have an easy way of checking for duplicate songs on my iPod, but you can't do it through iTunes. OR can you?

MacBook Pro (Intel), Mac OS X (10.5.6)

I'm not a copumter guy, I just get it to work for me....

Have you tried > iTunes>file>show duplicates

I believe that if you delete the duplicates in your main iTunes, the next time you sync up, that will take out the duplicates on your iPod .

Word of caution, sometimes "show duplicates" will show songs that share a common Artist/Song title, but they will be different song leanghts/versions/bit rates etc. So use the iTunes>View>View options to give you data the your concerned about.

yeah, i got that. i don't sync my libraries. so that is why i would like to be able to see my duplicates on my master 120 iPod Classic.

    Thanks anyway.

Anybody else know why Apple hasn't enabled this function when looking at your iPod?
