Nike+ Sensor won't connect to my iPhone 3GS (3G S)

I'm having the same difficulties. I also bought my sensor from eBay. Could it be that we've just been sold sensor with no battery life? Let me know if you fix yours...

I did get the model with an extra receiver, but that shouldn't be a problem, right? Receiver's not connected ofcourse.

Same problem here. The sensor worked for a few runs and now it no longer works and the Nike app voice also doesn't speak out loud anymore. It seems like the software has gotten confused. Disabling/re-enabling Nike+ app or resetting the brand new sensor does not seem to help.

My next try is to return the sensor in case it was an old battery, but because of the issues with the app voice my suspicion is that this is really a software problem.

I had the same problem with my sensor and iphone 3gs. It would work for one workout then not for the next. I called Apple and they told me to go into settings, turn off Nike + then back out of settings, then immediatly go back into settings and turn on Nike+ and link sensor with phone. I did this and it worked but then the next day it was off again on again. I finally figured out the problem, which may or may not be your problem. I was putting my iphone onto airplane mode when working out to save battery life, which was told to do in a CNET article on saving iphone battery life. Well I figured that in airplane mode, all ports are turned off, phone, bluetooth, wi-fi and of course the Nike+ sensor. Since I stopped turning on airport mode it has worked every time. Don't know if either of these will work but it worked for me.

Me too. Obviously there can't be this many dead batteries. Apple fix this!

I had the same problem but after I reset my network settings it worked. No spoken voice though!!

I also bought my sensor from ebay UK seller and my 3GS doesnt recognise it.

apple.com doesnt recognise the serial number. The product does look legit though.

No apple store in Perth... might give them a call
