Noritsu IP-64 and Leopard

Hi all,
I have a Noritsu IP-64 printer and I discovered that apparently no driver exist for Leopard. Is it really true ?

I know that this printer is equivalent to the Sony UP-DR150. I found Mac driver under the Sony site but it is not working 100%.

I mean, installing the UP-DR150 driver with IP-64 it seems that everything goes well (I see the "Transfer USB" message on IP-64 display) but I don't have the printout.

Can someone help me ?

Apple doesn't make printer drivers, only the manufacturer does. Apple just bundles them.

There is a [CUPS Gutenprint driver for the UP-DR150|http://gutenprint.sourceforge.net/index.php]; is that the one you are using? Or, did you download a driver from Sony?

If it is not installed in Leopard's list of Gutenprint drivers, you can download the current drivers from the Gutenprint website.

First of all many thanks for your prompt reply !!!!!

Sorry but I've been unclear .... I know that the driver should have been provided by Nortitsu (and not Apple).

About the driver I'm using, after an additional check what I'm using is the "Sony UP-DR150 - Gutenprint v5.1.3" (probably "embedded" in my iMac).

Do you think that I'm using the latest version?

Just for your info ...

I've uploaded the latest version of Gutenprint drivers but nothing change.

Probably no way to manage the IP-64 directly with a Mac

You might try deleting the printer and re-adding it.
Another option you might try is resetting the printing system by right-clicking in the Printer List in the Sys Pref, and choose Reset Printing System… from the menu.
You will have to re-add all of your printers after doing that.

If that doesn't make it work, I think you're out of luck. There must be something in the Noritsu that makes it not behave exactly like the Sony.

Unfortunately suggestions I received are not working so I think that there is something inside the Noritsu printer that make OS X driver not working. I have now used the workaround to share the printer on a PC, network connected with the Mac. With this configuration I'm able to print ...
