Export Cookies?

I have the iMac with the new Safari 4.0 and I just got the MacBook Pro. I've been able to export my favorites from the iMac to the macbook. But I can't figure out cookies. Can they be exported?

Thanks, Vince.

Hi

The Cookies file is found via the Finder in
HD>Users>Your User Account>Library>Cookies folder. Inside you'll find Cookies.plist. That's the file you want to move to the other machine, same location.

While you're at it, you may want to do the same with your Passwords. They are found in the same Library>Keychains folder. Usually goes by the name login.keychain.

Great. One other task regarding the Keychains. On the MacBook Pro, via the Finder, open Keychain Access in your Applications>Utilities folder. Then, in the Keychain Menu select Keychain First Aid>Repair. When complete, close keychain access.

Last step, Utilities folder, open Disk Utility. Highlight your HD on the left, then select "repair permissions".

Those steps will ensure that the data files transferred over from the iMac conform to the MBP's file permissions and no errors have occurred in the transferred keychains entries.

Good Luck with the new machine. I have a unibody MBP I bought last October. I really like using it.
