putting MBP oi sleep will freeze it

Hi,

I recently installed all actual updates from Apple including 10.5.7 on my MBP.

Since then it will freeze each time sleep is activated - either via the menu option, or by closing the lid.

The MBP was purchased in Jan. 2008 in Germany, at ist did not have this problem before applying these updates.

Is there any solution?
