Incase Hardshell?

Has anyone used these? I am interested in getting one, but I am afraid of three things:

1. Will scratch up my computer at all?

2. Is it going to overheat my computer? (I already know that the unibodies don't disperse heat very well)

3. Is it going to be very difficult to get it on and off and result in harming my computer in the process?

Here is a link if you don't know what I am talking about: http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/15-hardshell-case-cl57186/5

Please give me your feed back! Thanks 🙂

I have the 15" pro with the incase hard case and the incase sleeve and I love them both.

The hard shell protects the computer from any damage or scratches rather well. I have not had anything happen to it yet, but it fits very tight and looks good too.

The sleeve is also great for transporting. I recommend it for anyone that travels anywhere!! whether its from your house to school, or a business trip overseas, you will be very happy having the extra protection.

Overall I highly recommend InCase's products, the hard shell and sleeve are a must to me. After I showed them to my sister-in-law she loved them and bought them for her 17"

I bought this for my 15" UMBP and believe it or not the added "weight" from this made my hinge very loose. I bought the clear edition for the 17" and hasn't seemed to affect it at all.

I noticed that using the 15" in my lap, even sitting upright, the slightest move caused the screen to flop open. Any time it opened past 95˚ to 100˚ it would flop open to the full 120˚. I brought it to the genius bar and told them don't sell products that you advertise to work with the laptop and not note that it changes the functionality of the laptop (specifically the hinge). I called apple and told them about my experience and they offered to take a look at it but I had to send it in. When they received it I got a call and they said the hinge was functioning normally. I begged with him to replace the hinge; but it seemed to make no difference.

I would recommend the clear over the satin in this case, as the satin seems to add weight and apple says the hinge functions normally and is a feature not a flaw.

Hope that information helps!

btw: these cases are great and are well worth the money. just be sure to remove the case every couple of months and clean between the case and the laptop of any debris.
