The store I am buying from only has the 8GB iPhone 3G in stock at this time. The 16GB versions are out of stock.. I was wondering if 8GB is enough space for like games/movies/music and apps? How big are most of the apps anyways? size wise?
And movies? If I download a movie from itunes, what would be the size of it? Thanks I need to know right away so I can go out and get one today.
Rather than basing your decision on space, do you need a compass, video recording, better camera, faster processor, etc? The 8gb model is the phone that has been out since last July. The 16gb & 32gb are the new 3G S that came out a few weeks ago.
Wait a bit and get a 16 GB 3GS. I also had an 8 GB first-gen iPhone, and I could easily fill it to capacity with music, movies and apps. I've got a 32 GB 3GS and feel like I have headroom for videos shot with the phone.
I always say its better to have the room and not need it than to need the room and not have it... Get the most you can afford and be happy knowing you can put whatever you want on it without having to decide which video or playlist to delete to make room for new stuff..
I have an 8GB and have had it for over a year. I have 7 pages of apps, 350 songs and podcasts and pictures and notes saved on it. I have not even come close to half way! I thought I was going to need the 16GB but now I am glad that I didnt spend the extra $$.
