How do I "enable JavaScript"? I have latest Safari update.

I keep running into things that say I need to "enable JavaScript." I've searched Help and cannot find how to do it. Help?

Thanks ...... but I've been there multiple times. There is no option for anything like that... Just:
Disable login (not checked)
Require password to unlock each Systems Preference pane (not checked)
Log out after X minutes of inactivity (not checked)
Use secure virtual memory (checked)

then "Disable remote infrared receiver" (not checked)

The other tabs "FileVault" and "FireWall" have no such option either.

Now what?

You're looking at the wrong thing. Preferences are in Safari (Command-,). You should see at least five categories: General, Appearance, Bookmarks, Tabs, AutoFill, Security, and Advanced.

Click on the Security icon, and you should see 4 items to the right of "Web content:"; one of them is "Enable JavaScript". Check the box, close the Preferences window and then restart Safari. It should work without a problem.

Thanks, yes I was looking at the wrong Preferences. Found Safari Preferences and the "enable JavaScript" box was already checked... always has been apparently. So, why do I still get messages from sites and whatever thinks it needs JavaScript to "enable" when it already is enabled?

Or, is this just an issue between Windows/PC products and Apple/Mac?

How do I "enable JavaScript"? I have latest Safari update.
