Voice Mail export to audio file???

Is there a way I can take a voice mail that I've received and convert in into an
audio file that I can keep in iTunes?

Every once in a while I get a phone call that I would like to keep forever.

Is there a way to do this, it seems like a simple thing that I should be able to do.

thanks

Page 127 of the iPhone 3GS User's Guide says:

"Syncing Voice Memos

iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect
iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and
provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.

Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it
doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos
application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t
deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo
from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes."

and more follows that.

Voicemail can be extracted from the iPhone backup files on a Mac (if you have not set them to be encrypted).

Synch the iPhone with iTunes and extract "iPhone OS Files" from the latest backup. Look in:
iPhone OS Files/Library/Voicemail
The voice mail files will be 1.amr 2.amr ...

QuickTime will play them. If you want to use them in iTunes, you can use QuickTime Pro to convert them to AIFF

You can use iTunes to convert AIFF to other formats, such as MP3, AAC, or Apple Lossless.
