Sync Problems between my Blackberry Bold 9000 and my Macbook

HELP! I am new to Blackberry and have been trying to sync my Bold 9000 to my Mac (Entourage). My computer does not even recognize my device. I have read many posts in this BB site, the PocketMac site as well as the Apple site but there is no conclusive solution to this problem.



I have installed the latest version of the PocketMac and have also installed the recommended update. When I plug the USB wire from my phone to my computer, it tries to sync but I get this error:



[04:50:26.621] Unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); skipping.



Can anyone advise how to solve this problem?
